At this time, my business partner and I have decided to sell our company. After five years, our priorities have changed and we don't have the time available to continue working on this company. We have accomplished a lot and are incredibly proud that we popularized the console/electronic wall mount category and that Microsoft recognized Forza Designs as the company that produces the best wall mounts. Microsoft has asked us to produce additional hardware products not just for the Xbox but also for their Surface laptops.
This past year, Microsoft has gradually increased our purchase orders and started moving all three of our products into the Microsoft retail stores and also their online store. We expect bigger order to come in the new year.
The value in our company however is our relationship with Microsoft. Microsoft only picks a select few companies to be a "Microsoft Hardware Partner". I think there are only 6-7 of these companies in the world for the Xbox department that has this designation and we are one of them. We were incredibly fortunate to be one of the select few companies to be able to work with Microsoft. Microsoft requires that partners submit a seven figure initiation fee to work with them. This is to ensure the partner is invested and also it covers fees associated with testing any and all products the hardware partner company pitches to have the Microsoft branding. We are looking for a buyer that can take advantage of this relationship. We are currently speaking to Chinese manufacturers that could really benefit from being able to pitch an unlimited number of accessories for the Xbox and Surface Laptop and have Microsoft provide their branding AND also support the products by carrying it in their 120 retail stores across the United States. Anyone can manufacture- only a few will have this lucrative distribution outlet and backing from Microsoft. That said, we've had conversations with Milestone in the past and would like to convey on intention to sell.
We are asking for $350,000 for the company.
