Due to my poor health I find the to reduce the price of my business again. The very next step to increasing production and net income is a relative easy step.If interested in discussing or any questions please fill out the contact seller form and I will respond shortly.
We are continuing to operate and accepting new and repeat customers. We saw our own logs or those of our customers. From there we kiln dry the lumber or beams. When dry to the proper moisture content the lumber goes into the next building and made into what ever our customer has ordered. It could be timber frame beams-any finish trim-cabinet stock (then sent off to the cabinet maker) - ceiling and wall paneling-wainscot-live edge or square edge bar top and fireplace mantels - and last but not least T&G flooring of various Northwest species.
On the home page top right click on video to view the operation inside the buildings.
Business Description: This is virtually an asset sale. As previously mentioned our business is turnkey. I am presently operating and will continue to until sold. All equipment for production and production related tools will remain. Example, log yard truck with log loader, two forklifts, and all milling equipment. A complete list of inventory is available.
Our business has been mostly a one person operation with occasional part time employees. Between the desire to retire @ age of 73 and a few health problems it is time to sell. The buildings and the site is leased from the Port Of Tillamook Bay. Which is an industrial complex a couple of miles south of Tillamook, Oregon. I began with just the sawmill and over the years made a few dry kilns, added machinery for finishing and arrived at the point of being able to produce several times more finished product than I could begin to do as one person. During this time all of the money and part of my time was put into reaching this point. The rest of my time was spent taking care of my customers and producing exactly what they wanted for their home. A lot of our business is happy customers recommending us to other home owners for their new house or remodel, and several repeat customers particularly building contractors. Our web site has done well also.
Another very good source to expand the business is to use Wood-web. Here you can receive RFQ’S (request for quote) from everyone from small woodworkers and home owners to manufactures all over the world. I have used Wood-web in the past with great success. I am receiving so much work locally that as a one person operation I dare not go out and acquire more business. Why, because I am not healthy enough to continue as I have in the past.
Our customer list and all contacts for customers, our web site (owned by us), the goodwill that we have created and a list of raw material sources will be included in the sale. Also I may be willing to stay around for a limited amount of time to introduce and teach if needed. For further information, please go to website www.customlumberinportlandor.com
