10 years ago, Jura Kool started to notice some learning differences in some of the students in her family and at the Math Center she was managing. In doing some research, she learned about the symptoms of Dyslexia (an unexpected difficulty with reading, writing, and spelling despite have normal modalities and average to above average intelligence). She shared those symptoms with her husband Adrien Kool, and he learned that he had been struggling with Dyslexia despite building a successful career.
She decided to help more students and open her first learning center in Henderson in 2015. Business has been growing from word of mouth and in 2017 she trained her first tutor. Today, she has around 30 students coming minimum twice a week and 7 part time tutors. 80% of each session is performed face-to-face, and 20% online.
Parents understand that the resources used at the learning center are a long-term remediation process, and we do not do homework help. Parents are billed at the beginning of every month and we use a 3rd party platform for automatic invoices, scheduling, make-ups, and accounting.
Tutoring sessions are performed in some executive suites located near two major freeways and 15 minutes from Green Valley, Boulder City, and Lake Las Vegas. These executive suites are month to month. New owner could continue at this location, secure a long-term lease for all the executive suites, or move to another central location.

100% of the income has been from offering reading remediation. Marketing math for students with Dyscalculia would be an additional income.
